Project title: Development of a complex technological system for the recovery of hazardous waste with significant oil and metal content
Contracted grant amount: 75,793,103 HUF
Grant rate: 66.98%
The project resulted in the development of a complex technology for processing hazardous waste. Within the framework of the project, EMVISZAM Kft. developed a prototype enabling the recycling of automotive oil filters classified as hazardous waste. Based on test results obtained with the prototype, a full-scale model was constructed. The project also encompassed the development of the infrastructure required to house the hazardous waste recovery equipment, the procurement of handling, transport, and measuring devices and various storage containers necessary for the system's development and operation, as well as personnel costs for those involved in the development.
As part of the project's R&D activities, a processing technology was developed—a process that partly involved the participation of external experts. A new shredder and separation unit were developed, and these components were used to manufacture the integrated waste processing system. The first step in the system's innovative processing workflow is the pre-separation of various filter types, followed by the separation and shredding of components containing aluminum and metal. Once the resulting shredded material has been de-oiled, a separation unit is used to sort particular materials. Employees of ENVISZAM Kft., possessing the relevant qualifications and experience, participated in testing the equipment, evaluating the results, and finalizing the technology.
Our development has contributed to the growth of research, development, and innovation activities in the county and the region, while fostering the employment of highly skilled professionals and driving economic growth. Through the recovery of hazardous waste, the project significantly promotes environmental sustainability.
